I’m Val, a physician, wellness coach, and founder of Vital Valence.
Let me tell you, I’ve been through it, too. I’ve undergone years of medical training and became a successful physician, you would think I had it all figured out. Nope! Over the years, I was concocting the perfect formula for an unsustainable, unhealthy life. I worked in a high-stress career, which resulted in long hours and an erratic sleep schedule. I didn’t exercise regularly and I faltered on my eating habits on top of that.
What happened as a result?
My skin went berserk, I gained weight, my hair was falling out, My joints ached, my mental clarity suffered. I was coming to the point where I disliked my job and what it was doing to me- burning me out.
I thought I developed a medical condition. Thankfully, I didn’t (Yet!) How I felt made me realize, if I continued the way I was living, I would increase my chances of developing a problem: heart disease, diabetes, or some other preventable disease. So, I made a decision to go through my own wellness journey.
As I continued to practice medicine, I became certified in wellness coaching and functional medicine. I figured out an exercise regimen that worked out for me, I learned more about nutrition, began meditation, and developed a regimen that fit into my schedule. I pretty much figured out a way to get myself back on track.
HOW DO I HELP YOU?
I created a program called, “Get your Glow.” It manifested of years of experience in integrating a healthy lifestyle with a demanding life schedule for myself and for others.
As a doctor-turned coach, I help other professional women become in tune with their health so that they can have energy and clarity in their personal pursuits!
What I’ve realized is that burnout is real and we, as women, don’t realize it until it’s too late. We put ourselves on the back burner for the longest time until we boil over.

For 12 weeks, I will guide you in creating techniques to de-stress your day-to-day, integrate healthy habits, and feel recharged to take on your world.

WEEK 1-3 | IDENTIFY
We really identify what you want to achieve and start to develop a plan to reach your goals.
Because if we don’t know what you want, what are we working towards?
I’ll also walk you through my ID method for any stressors or obstacles so that you can learn how to navigate stress with ease and be prepared to accomplish your goals.
WEEK 4-6 | ILLUMINATE
Reveal ways to center yourself in a busy workday, to successfully eat clean consistently, to move more regularly so that you can be closer to a healthier lifestyle. We suss out your effective method.
WEEK 7-9 | INSTILL
Learn how to regularly define boundaries and apply new healthy habits into your daily life with easy strategies by reconnecting with your inner motivation.
My specific method to reconnect your goals to your “bigger why” (aka your “deeper reason”) so that you can remain steadfast in your wellness journey.
WEEK 10-12 | IMBUE
Surround yourself with positive vibes. Learn to continuously tap into your strengths and resources in difficult situations so that you don’t undercut your hard work during the program.
This is key in maintaining a healthy lifestyle on your own after the completion of a program.

Is coaching right for me?
Coaching is supposed to be an enjoyable process. It’s most enjoyable when you are ready and committed to it. But, it’s not an easy process. You do most of the work! Here’s the upside… I’ll be here to help you through it and keep you accountable and on track.
Here’s the bottom line, coaching is not going to be someone who isn’t ready or willing to do the work.
What type of person is not fit for this?
Pretty much someone who isn’t ready to make a change or willing to do the work. Not everyone is ready for coaching.
Will this work for me?
Yea! But to be honest there are no guarantees. You have to be willing to do the work (sorry to be a broken record). If you want to see changes in your life and follow through with your intentions, you’ll see results.
Will you be my personal physician?
No, I don’t replace your doctor. I’m an internist and a health/wellness coach, but I won’t be your primary care physician. If you decide to participate in my program, I will be acting solely as your coach.
